My Raider has a baby brother!
« on: September 01, 2010, 07:44:15 PM »

When you put them side by side there are quite a few similarities, it’s obvious the Raider and Stryker both come from the same family. The smaller mill (lower horsepower), single front brake and lack of a few other goodies drops the total weigh of the bike and that’s a major consideration for alot of potential buyers. I personally feel it will give the Fury a run for its money as long as the accessories are there to enable owners to make it their own... after all, don’t forget about us chrome whores.

Not bad, not bad at all, could be a little shinier. I like SHINY. Think I would need to see the real thing to really appreciate the look.

The red one is sharp alright but theres something about the look that just seems off. Not sure if its the way the horn sticks out, or all the cables above the headlight. I'm looking at the height of the shift lever as well, looks like you have to bring your toe along way up to get on top to downshift.

I agree NH the horn does sort of stick out, that would be my first mod. Looks like there's room in front of the gas tank behind the two down tubes of the frame to re-mount it. As far as the foot controls and wires are concerned I'll wait to see the bike in person and make the call then.

The Canadian Yamaha site does not have a MSRP or an available date showing for it. The second link that soupie posted was showing Sept and $11,000 Guess we will have to wait becuase now I an curious to see it.
