Hi all, My name is Travis, it's been a few years since I've owned a bike. It's nice to see that there is a online community of NS bikers.

Welcome, you speak like you no longer have a ride. Not to worry once a biker always a biker.

Just noticed you had a Ninja listed under motorcycle type in your profile. Do you have any favorite riding areas , roads or routes .

Out to Peggys Cove is one of my favorite rides.
Any suggestions?

Hey welcome to the forums! Depends on what you like for riding and how long of a ride you want to go on! If your looking for a few hour ride, then if you head out of Halifax either towards porters lake or towards Turo you can take the 357/Old Guysbrough Rd loop which is a nice ride. Or if your looking for something like an all day ride, then you can make a huge loop from Halifax, to Middle Musquodoboit, to sheet harbour to Antigonish, Up the back way to Merigomish, to New Glasogw, to Tatamagush (spelling?), to truro, etc, etc

peggy's is good, Halifax on the 3 to Chester across 14 to Windsor back to Halifax on the 1 is good too for an afternoon ( with coffee stops). Soupie and I were going to get together on that one but I've been sidelined since mid august with a continual back pain problem. Might still be time.
6 weeks and only a 100 kms worth of riding. (thats right 100) double

The old road from Truro to Tatamagouche (over Nutby Mt) was a always a good ride
I went to Queensland to Fox point to Chester then back around through Hubbards to Timberlea today, that was a nice ride
