First of all a shout out to everyone from a newbe. I used to ride Nortons, two 650s & an 850 as well as a Honda 750 Shadow. Sold them many years ago to build a house and raise a family. Well... family has grown, house is still standing so it was time for me to get back into biking so last June I went to a local dealer and fell in love with Yamaha's Raider S and bought one. Love the ride and hope to meet some of you fellow bikers in my travels this summer. To answer nighthawkrdr's question I ride where the bike takes me. I'll post some pics when I become a little more familiar with the forum.

Hi Soupie, Good answer with ride where it takes me. My home riding area is basically HRM. Forget the 100 series highways and Stick to the Rural Routes like 1 thru 7, . My favourite ride, just to get out, is from Dartmouth to Enfield along the lakes that made up the Shubie canal, good road easy pace and about as relaxing as you get for the city. Does your ride ( nice one too I might add)ever take you that way. Many riders meet at the Tim's in fall River most every night.

Yes, I do head to Fall River quite regularly to visit my brother (he's got a 900 Kawi) and lives just up over the hill from Tims. I live just off the 333 (road to Peggy's Cove) so I'm never far from twisty roads and often "do the loop". I'm on vacation for the next three weeks so will make an extra effort to visit Timmy's in Enfield on a regular basis, hope to see yah there. Another great ride is to Windsor via the old highway. Very little traffic and good people at Tim's in Windsor.

I've taken the loop a few times as a detour to Chester. (Some detour eh) Gone all the way to Stewiake for a coffee. Never hit Windsor yet. Have to add it to my travels. Hwy 1 from Bedford to Windsor should be a good ride. HHmmm then maybe Windsor to chester then back to Bedford. Thats a good idea. Thanks. Oh yes, get your brother to join us here we could always use new forum members.

I'll let my brother know. FYI Some of the locals in Windsor tell me they meet on Wednesday evenings just behind the Tim's in town. They call it "Fruit Loop Night" as you'll see everything from soup to nuts, baggers to sport bikes all parked in a large loop behind the coffee shop. I've yet to attend but do plan to check it out.
