Warning to people who travel Abercrombie way

Friend of mind just dropped me a message with a warning:

I was driving on Abercrombie road just past Sobeys on the west side. Heading down to put my bike away. I was coming up on a group of teens walking on my side of the side walk. I took a glance at them and looked back to the road. When I looked forward I saw a black thing flying at my face. It smoked me somewhere on my helmet. I think just above my face. I think my visor was up and it hit that.
*It wasn't a bug that is for sure!
*I got stopped and checked myself out. Looked over and the kid were there. I put my helmet back on and by that time they were gone. I searched for them for an hour. I figure they ran to someones house.

So yeah, take it as you want but keep your heads up.  Might be nothing, might be something.
