Possible help getting stuff out west
« on: August 27, 2008, 09:46:34 PM »
Here is the issue. We have moved out to Kamloops, BC from NS and we left some boxes and two bikes back in NS that were going to all come to Kamloops on a trailer by a friend which wasn’t going to cost us much at all, but now plans have changed and the person that was doing this for us will be staying back in NS longer.
Does anyone know someone that could move this stuff for a rather good price? Ideally we were looking to have our gear by mid/end October. I have thought about flying back with a cheap one-way flight, and drive a vehicle that someone needs moved out this way, pay for the gas myself, rent a U-Haul trailer and drive back to BC.

Anyways, if anyone has an idea of a cheap way to move stuff from Dartmouth to BC would be great for the help or ideas.

Thanks,
Carter

I still say you fly back, load the bikes up and ride them out :P lol, but seriously its going to be pretty tough to get that stuff out there unless you can find someone heading that way.  I'll keep my ears open and see what I can dig you up.  I think I have a friend thats heading out that way in the near future.

Won't help with the bikes, but what about getting the rest of your stuff sent up on the bus? Would prolly be cheaper then comming back and getting it.  Would have to pick the bikes up next time your home.
