Intagrated Taillight VS Stock
« on: July 21, 2008, 05:33:42 PM »
Just wondering that you guys think.  What looks/preforms bettter?  The taillight that has the singles built into it (removing the stock ones that were on the bike) or staying with the stock?  Kind of wondering what can been seen better so I don't get creamed on the road cause someone didn't see me trying to make a turn.  All I know is that the ones that are on the bike are pretty hard to see.  Not part of the taillight, but not the stock ones either.  I think they are a stubby mod or something.

I had a guy pass me last week;  he had integrated signals in his taillight.  I didn't think they were any brighter than stock, and I expected to see an amber light about 6" off the bike instead of a red blinky on half the taillight.

I have found that after you get back aways it is realy hard to tell what signal light is actualy on with the integrated setup it just looks like a blinking light in the center of the bike from any distance, but that may just have been a lower end unit as well (JMO)
some is good more is better and too much is just right

I have an integrated tail on my bike. I love it because it cleans up the ass end of the bike. I never had any problem with the light, ie. other riders/drivers not seeing it or misunderstanding my intent. now i heard a rumor that they are illegal, but never had any run ins with the po po and never had a problem getting an inspectioin sticker on it.  To each his own, sopme love it, some hate it, i say go for it brother

I think its more the same lines as flush mounts.  Some will pass it, others won't.  The law is open to interatation, so that plays a big part in it.  But good to know all the same, thanx guys.
