Road Name: Highway 336
Road Location: Guysborough/Halifax (Runs between HWY 289 and HWY 224)
Road Type: Straight, very few tight turns
Road Condition: Good / Poor
Distance: 30min Ride
Posted Speed Limit: 70-80KM/h
Comments / Notes: The start of this road from the 289 side is great. No bumps a few fun turns and some straights. This first section is actually my fav. section on my way to work, and I have be guilty of taking it at speeds above the posted limit cause its so great. The 336 Highway is kind of wierd to follow as you have to actually take a turnoff to follow it :\ Once you do take the turn off though, the road gets really bad untill you meet the 224. The posted limit though the rough section is 70km/h but I would suggest going even slower as the ruts and bumps can snag your front wheel and throw you off if your not careful. The whole thing is pretty boring with not a whole lot to see, but I still like going through it, I find it peaceful for whatever reason. The Highway opens up into farm land (as most of Musquodoboit is Farm) and if your early in the year you might get a smell that could kill. Later on its not too bad. I see quite a few bikes running the road, most I would think are heading toward Stewiack or down here to the New Glasgow area via the 289. Still even with its down sides, its still a good road to take a tour on for no other reason to see the roads the join into it. I swear that you can get anywhere from this Highway.
